This work is a study of imaginary flowers/vines, and the tribal flag of the Meskwaki people.
I am an artist that uses small glass beads as my primary medium. I have been actively beading for over 50 years and make a wide variety of traditional Meskwaki regalia. I am inspired by the history of the Meskwaki people and I do my best to emulate the methods of my ancestors when creating designs for my work while moving forward with innovation of materials and practices. I also work in the graphic arts of printmaking with lithography, intaglio and monotype.
